Aldeia Boa Vista

Aldeia Boa Vista is this beautiful Indigenous community by the Rio Jordao in Acre, Brazil. The people there are the Huni Kuin; which means “true people,” and honestly, that just sounds right. They’re the keepers of so much wisdom, art, language, and magical forest knowledge.

Standing with the Huni Kuin isn’t just about solidarity... it’s about recognizing the role they play in protecting the Amazon, and the culture that keeps it alive.

And then there’s Txana Ikakuru Mukaya. He’s such an inspiring spiritual leader that guides plant medicine ceremonies, sharing knowledge around the world, and creating music that carries the spirit of his people. At Aldeia Boa Vista, they also have the Instituto Huni Kuin Yube Inu, a non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to culture, learning, and connection.

I even created a painting inspired by him, called Ikakuru. It’s my tribute to his leadership. And when you buy this piece, all profits go directly back to support the community helping provide medicine, food, and resources that make a real difference.
